Renter's Insurance
The ERIE Renter's insurance program is broad in coverage and solid in extra features. The policy includes coverage for:

The tenant cover will protect your personal belongings from damage caused by the following perils:

- Windstorm or hail
- Explosion
- Riot or civil commotion
- Aircraft or vehicles
- Smoke
- Vandalism or malicious mischief
- Glass breakage
- Theft
- Falling Trees or other objects
- Weight of ice, snow or sleet
- Sudden bursting or cracking of a heating or cooling system
- Freezing of plumbing, heating and cooling systems
- Accidental overflow or discharge of water from within the home
- Power surge damage to electrical appliances
- Volcanic eruptions
In addition, coverage is extended for your home and other structures from all forms of loss not specifically excluded in the policy.
Some examples include:
- Damage caused by the accidental spillage of paint or paint thinner
- Damage caused by accidentally scorching a surface with a hot pot or pan
- Unintentional damage to your home while performing maintenance or making repairs
- Water damage caused by the freezing and thawing of water in a gutter or under the shingles of the home
